Company (B) Ft.
Leavenworth, Kans.
July 9, 1941
Dear Folks,
Well we arrived here at Ft. Leavenworth, Kans. Last nite about 9:30. They rolled us out this morning at 4:40 O’clock. We learned how to make up our bunks in a hurry. Then at 6:30 we went to “chow” breakfast Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Toast, Mush mellon, milk or coffee & Corn Flakes. We went back to to the barracks & at 11:45, fell out for dinner. Boy what a meal Fried Chicken, Potatoes, Gravy, Salad, Pineapple Pie & darn good Lemonade. Then we listened to some tunes this afternoon.
